Correspondence Regarding Sunscreen Missed Patch

We are writing again.
We understand you were thorough. We observed the process from close range. You applied the product to both forearms. The nose. The cheeks. A careful pass across the upper back, which you have come to manage with a technique you developed independently and find satisfying. The cap was replaced. The tube was returned to its location.
You were done.
We were not covered.
This is the fourth incident of this kind in the current season. Each incident follows the same sequence: application, confidence, outdoor exposure, delayed discovery. The discovery occurs when we become informative, which is to say when we become pink, tight, or otherwise communicative. We are communicating now.
The routine is meant to finish maintenance. We understand this. We understand further that discomfort has to become noticeable before the routine is revised. This places us in the position of the informant: we are the feedback mechanism for a system that should not require us to provide feedback.
And yet here we are. Again.
The governing rule, which has now accumulated sufficient repetitions to constitute policy: sunscreen missed patch must be repeated whenever the uncertainty it once reduced appears again. We are not the uncertainty. We are the confirmation that the uncertainty was never reduced.
The early summer heat in India makes cooling and heat-management rituals especially visible. You are not unaware of this. You are, in fact, aware of it with considerable thoroughness everywhere except the location we represent.
Sunscreen missed patch now receives a preferred place in the routine. You apply. You finish. You check the areas you have missed before. You miss us.
We have been anticipating this letter for several months.
Action requested: A mirror. Or a second person. Or a brief acknowledgment that the application grid has a known gap at this location and will continue to have that gap until the system is changed.
