Field Notice on Delivery Meal Calendar
A person who uses a food delivery service to remove meal planning from their week has responded by planning the week around the food delivery service.

I. Observation
Someone has begun planning the week around which nights can be justified as delivery nights. This planning occurs before the week begins. It involves a mental or written calendar. The calendar is consulted and updated across multiple sessions.
The service exists to remove meal planning from the week. It has produced more meal planning.
II. Documented Behavior
The delivery meal calendar is maintained as follows. Sunday or Monday, a preliminary scan of the week is conducted to identify evenings with low cooking motivation, high schedule density, or recent delivery gaps that must now be balanced against frequency norms. These evenings are mentally flagged.
By Wednesday, the flags have hardened into commitments. The restaurant has often been selected. The approximate order has been narrowed.
By Thursday evening, the selection process that the service was meant to eliminate has taken approximately as long as cooking would have.
III. Consequence Chain
A temporary workaround for the delivery meal calendar becomes the default because it worked once. Ordering on Tuesday went smoothly, so Tuesday becomes a delivery candidate. Other people begin planning around the workaround and quietly preserving it, adjusting their afternoon schedules around estimated delivery windows. A person using the ordinary method now has to explain why they ignored the established procedure and cooked instead.
IV. Finding
The delivery meal calendar is not a record of meals. It is a record of the decisions that precede meals, now rendered legible and therefore subject to optimization.
The optimization does not reduce the number of decisions. It consolidates them into a planning session, which then requires its own preparation.
V. Governing Rule
Evidence of one successful workaround is sufficient to govern all future cases. The workaround that worked on a Tuesday in October now governs every Tuesday indefinitely.
VI. Status
The delivery meal calendar is active. It will be reviewed at the start of next week, which is when all delivery meal calendars are reviewed.
