Session: Tool Preset Tweaking Convened: Prior to creative work Adjourned: Unclear Attendees: One subject, one set of tools, zero completed outputs

  2. Identification of preset inadequacies
  3. Adjustment of presets
  4. Assessment of adjusted presets
  5. Work (carried forward)

Discussion

Item 1: Review of Existing Presets

The subject opened the creative application and observed that the currently active preset was the one configured during the previous session. The previous session also began with preset review. The subject noted that the previous preset required adjustment before that session could begin. It was adjusted. The session then ended before work began due to time constraints.

Item 2: Identification of Preset Inadequacies

The existing preset was examined and found to contain three settings that were either slightly wrong for the current project or potentially wrong for future projects the subject is not yet working on. These settings were flagged for adjustment.

The subject made one additional observation: the preset naming convention was inconsistent with a convention the subject had intended to adopt several sessions ago. This was noted as a second item requiring attention before work could begin.

Item 3: Adjustment of Presets

The three settings were adjusted. Two adjustments were made in the correct direction. One adjustment was subsequently reversed after the subject realized it was now wrong in a different way. The naming convention was partially updated before the subject remembered that renaming would interrupt the preset adjustment process.

Item 4: Assessment of Adjusted Presets

The adjusted preset was reviewed against the project requirements. The project requirements are internal and not documented. The subject is the sole reviewer and also the sole person who can confirm whether the preset meets requirements. This creates an evaluation environment that produces no disagreement.

The preset was approved.

Item 5: Work

Carried forward to next session. Time had elapsed during agenda items one through four to a degree that made beginning work inadvisable. The subject determined that starting with insufficient time remaining would produce work of a quality inconsistent with the now-optimized preset settings.
