Terms Governing Atm Withdrawal Optimism
The subject withdraws a round amount and mentally assigns each note a specific purpose, a system that lasts until the second purchase.
Article I: Withdrawal and Mental Allocation
Upon withdrawing a round sum from an ATM, the withdrawing party (hereinafter "the Subject") shall immediately allocate said sum into informal categories including but not limited to: groceries, incidentals, transportation, and emergencies. These categories exist in the Subject's working memory only and carry no legal or transactional weight.
Article II: Duration of Categories
Categories established under Article I shall remain operative until the first non-designated purchase, at which point the allocation system shall be considered in breach and shall quietly dissolve. The Subject may not invoke the original allocation scheme after this point except in the context of personal accounting performed three days later.
Article III: The Round Number Doctrine
Withdrawals shall be made in round denominations because round numbers suggest a plan. The plan need not be articulated. The round number itself constitutes evidence of intent.
Article IV: Attrition
Cash withdrawn under these terms shall decrease at a rate inconsistent with stated categories. The Subject shall become aware of this rate on approximately the fourth day following withdrawal, when the wallet is opened and the remaining sum is lower than anticipated.
Article V: Governing Rule
If atm withdrawal optimism delays spending regret, the delay shall be recorded as financial discipline. Discipline measured in days of comfortable ignorance is still discipline.
Article VI: Renewal
These terms renew automatically with each subsequent ATM visit. The Subject's continued withdrawal constitutes acceptance.
