Terms Governing Shared Clue Negotiation
A casual morning game becomes a standing appointment when clue exchange repeats on three consecutive days.
Section 1. Definitions.
For purposes of these Terms, "shared clue negotiation" means any exchange between two or more parties in which one party offers partial assistance with a daily browser game while calibrating the offer to fall below the threshold that would invalidate the receiving party's win. A clue is partial by design. Its partiality is the product.
Section 2. Threshold for Appointment Status.
Any shared clue negotiation repeated on three consecutive mornings shall be deemed a standing appointment. The appointment requires no formal acceptance. It arises automatically from the third repetition. The game is called casual while missing it feels like a small failure.
The parties acknowledge that this outcome was not intended when the first exchange occurred.
Section 3. Consequences of Appointment Status.
3.1. Shared clue negotiation shall occupy one protected pocket of the day. The duration of this pocket is measured from first message to final clue confirmation and may not extend past the natural endpoint of the game.
3.2. Other routines shall begin moving around the protected pocket within seven to fourteen days of appointment status being established. This rescheduling is conducted without discussion and without acknowledgment.
3.3. A tiny game becomes a daily obligation. The parties agree that this transformation was not the subject of any negotiation and cannot be reversed by mutual agreement alone. Reversal requires a streak break, which both parties shall treat as a loss regardless of the formal rules of the game.
Section 4. Governing Behavior During Negotiation.
Each party shall offer clues in carefully measured amounts. The measure is social rather than informational: a clue that preserves the receiving party's sense of independent completion is acceptable; a clue that removes all difficulty is a violation. The parties shall not define this boundary in advance. They shall know it when they cross it.
Section 5. Effect on Surrounding Calendar.
The daily browser game ecosystem expanded significantly in 2023. Morning clue exchange became a social appointment before either party registered it as one. This was a predictable outcome of any repeated lightweight ritual: repetition converts choice into infrastructure. The post-festival slowdown of November makes a full year of these conversions visible.
Section 6. Termination.
These Terms remain in effect until the streak ends. A streak end may occur through travel, illness, or deliberate omission. Deliberate omission carries social cost not described within these Terms.
