Terms Governing Vacuum Charging Blame
A household agreement governing the assignment of fault when a cordless vacuum presents as uncharged at point of use.
TERMS GOVERNING VACUUM CHARGING BLAME Effective upon first incident. No signature required.
Article I: Definitions
1.1 "The Vacuum" refers to the cordless vacuum unit stored in the household, regardless of brand or model.
1.2 "The Incident" refers to the discovery that the Vacuum is uncharged at the moment a household member has decided to clean.
1.3 "Vacuum Charging Blame" refers to the attribution of responsibility for the Incident to a party other than the person who discovered it.
1.4 "The Setting" refers to the practice of returning the Vacuum to its charging dock after use.
Article II: Governing Conditions
2.1 The Incident occurs when someone has finally decided to clean. The timing is consistent. No exceptions have been recorded.
2.2 The Setting is reversible. Any household member may place the Vacuum on its dock. This has been technically possible since the unit was acquired.
2.3 Changing the Setting can feel like overruling another person's invisible preference, even when no such preference has been stated. This feeling carries procedural weight under these terms.
Article III: Operational Provisions
3.1 Vacuum Charging Blame creates a small sense of control over the Incident.
3.2 The sense of control becomes something household members check for before trusting the ordinary cleaning process. This check is not documented. It occurs anyway.
3.3 After two unchallenged instances, Vacuum Charging Blame gains procedural status for all similar situations in the household.
3.4 Familiarity may certify Vacuum Charging Blame even when efficiency cannot.
Article IV: Termination
4.1 These terms remain in effect while no party volunteers to establish a replacement practice.
4.2 Losing the ritual described in Article III will feel more alarming than the original problem it was meant to solve. The parties acknowledge this in advance.
4.3 No amendment process exists. No amendment is anticipated.
These terms do not require acceptance. They become operative upon the second Incident.
