What Was True Instead

Someone who has recovered still hesitates before resuming ordinary errands. The hesitation is not fear exactly. It is the recognition that the system that used to assess risk automatically has been updated, and the update changed the baseline, and the new baseline is not sure whether the old assessments remain valid.

The Consequence Chain

Post recovery caution begins as a private precaution with no audience. A check before the auto-rickshaw ride. A moment of arithmetic about whether the vegetable market is too crowded today.

It becomes visible enough that other people adjust their timing or expectations around it. The family group starts asking before planning, where before they would have announced.
