TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Governing Document: The Grateful Journey Post
Platform: LinkedIn
Effective Date: Upon publication
By reading this post, you accept the following:
Article I. Nature of the Content
Section 1.1. This post documents a professional milestone. The milestone is genuine. The framing is not original.
Section 1.2. The post aims to sound personal. The most personal moments often arrive in the most familiar script. "Humbled" appears in paragraph two. "This journey" appears in the title. Several lessons have been numbered for your convenience.
Section 1.3. The lessons are presented as hard-won. Some were hard-won. Others were already known to the author before the event that prompted this post. The author has chosen not to specify which category each lesson falls into.
Article II. Your Obligations as a Reader
Section 2.1. You are expected to engage within four hours of publication. A heart reaction is sufficient. A comment is appreciated. A comment beginning "Well deserved!" is sufficient and requires no further elaboration.
Section 2.2. You may not observe that this post contains the same three structural elements as the last grateful journey post from a different person you saw this morning. This observation is accurate and irrelevant.
Section 2.3. Familiarity acquires authority once a workaround has been repeated in public. The grateful journey post has been repeated in public more than twelve times in your network this week alone. Its authority is therefore substantial.
Article III. What This Post Is Not
Section 3.1. This post is not a request for work. Any job inquiries received following this post will be considered coincidental.
Section 3.2. This post is not a performance of vulnerability. The author acknowledges that the post is structured exactly like a performance of vulnerability. This is noted here for transparency purposes.
Section 3.3. A one-time check for grateful journey post is added before the ordinary task can continue. The ordinary task in this case is accepting a new role, completing a project, or acknowledging a colleague. The check has now been added. The post must be written before the next task begins.
Article IV. Duration
Section 4.1. Skipping grateful journey post now looks careless even when the original risk or inconvenience is gone. The original risk was professional invisibility. The risk has not materially changed since 2018.
Section 4.2. These terms remain in effect until the author decides that authenticity requires a different format. The author will announce this decision via a grateful journey post.
