Dinner Selection Has Entered Infinite Review
Every restaurant reviewed is temporarily appealing and then, upon review, not quite right.
Subject
The selection of dinner via food delivery application. One person. One device. Thirty-eight minutes elapsed.
Background
The subject opened the delivery application at 8:11 PM. The subject was hungry. The subject had access to seventeen restaurants within delivery range, four of which had been used before.
What Was Found
8:11 PM. Subject opened the application and scrolled to the first restaurant. The restaurant received initial approval. Subject continued scrolling to see what else was available.
8:17 PM. Subject returned to the first restaurant and examined the full menu. The first restaurant was no longer the primary candidate. A new restaurant appeared more relevant.
8:23 PM. Subject switched restaurants four times. The fourth restaurant was a pizza option that had been passed three times without selection. It was now selected as the frontrunner.
8:31 PM. Subject became aware that the pizza option had been selected as the frontrunner before and not ordered. This created suspicion about the pizza option.
8:39 PM. Subject ordered from the first restaurant.
Under the governing rule, any delivery app indecision repeated three times becomes part of the meal and must be performed again. The ritual had been repeated. It will be repeated next time.
Status
The food arrived at 9:08 PM. The subject ate without reviewing the decision. The decision is considered closed until the next meal requires a new decision, at which point the process will begin again from the beginning.
All seventeen restaurants will be re-evaluated. No prior preference will be binding.
