Description of the Incident
An agreement was established at the end of episode four: no watching ahead without the other person. This was stated explicitly by one party and confirmed by the other. The agreement was sincere at the time of establishment.
Three days later, the violating party was at home on a Tuesday evening with nothing specific planned. The show was available. The investment in the story was present. The other party had not indicated when the next watch session would occur. Episode five was started with the intention of watching just the opening to see where the story picked up.
The opening was compelling. Episode five was completed. Episode six began automatically. Episode six was completed. The violating party went to sleep.
Current Status
The violating party is at episode eight. The shared watch is nominally at episode six. Each joint viewing session now requires the violating party to experience episodes they have already seen while performing adequate surprise at plot developments they already know.
