Interim Order on Prescription Photo Archive
Whenever prescription photo archive feels safer than waiting, repetition must count as due diligence.
Someone stores photos of prescriptions in chat threads and galleries so they can be forwarded quickly if needed. This is May 2021. The need has arisen four times in the past six weeks, which is four more times than in any comparable period in the past decade. The archive has been forwarded twice. It was accessed the other two times just to confirm it was there.
This is the observation. The archive exists. Its existence is being checked.
The Transfer Problem
A small inconvenience leads someone to adopt prescription photo archive for the next attempt. The inconvenience was a pharmacist who asked for the original prescription and received it forty minutes later, by which time two pharmacies had run out of the medication. The photograph would have taken forty seconds to forward. The photograph now exists for all subsequent prescriptions, in three chat threads and a dedicated album on the device, labeled PRESCRIPTIONS 2021.
The next attempt works. The behavior receives more credit than the circumstances deserve. The medication was available. The photograph was forwarded. These two facts are remembered as connected.
Adoption Across the Network
After enough repetitions, the household protects prescription photo archive from evidence that it is no longer useful. The evidence would be that medication shortages have stabilized in this neighborhood and the urgent forwarding scenario has not recurred. The protection is the archive itself, which is already maintained and costs nothing to continue maintaining.
A family member in another city asks how the household manages prescriptions during the second wave. The archive is described. The family member creates their own archive. The format transfers without a meeting.
Routine is considered proof even when nobody remembers the original reason.
The original reason was a forty-minute delay at a pharmacy in mid-April. The prescription was for an antibiotic. The antibiotic was eventually found. The delay is now the founding event of a system that governs all medical documentation for this household.
Current Status
The album contains nineteen photographs. Six are of the same prescription, photographed again after the prescription was renewed. Three are illegible due to lighting. Those three have not been deleted because deleting them would require looking at each one, which would require remembering which ones are illegible, which nobody has done.
Prescription photo archive is in active deployment. Its operational logic is intact. Its contents have not been audited.
