The city friend who reads the summer electricity bill and briefly reconstructs every hour the air conditioner was used has now completed the reconstruction. Key findings from that exercise:
The AC was set to 24 degrees at night. This is documented. The AC was, multiple times, lowered to 22 during the night by a person who does not recall doing this. The evidence is the bill and a half-remembered sense of having been hot at 2am.
The reconstruction includes the afternoon of June 28th, which the subject now believes was responsible for a disproportionate fraction of the total. There is no data to support this. It is a feeling. The feeling is precise.
