Progress Report on Empty Soap Dispenser
The soap dispenser is empty. It has been empty for two weeks. Water has been added to it three times. The soap is extended but not replaced.

Day 1
The dispenser returned empty when pressed. This was noted. Water was added from the tap. The residual soap coating the dispenser's interior mixed with the water and produced foam at normal pump pressure. Hands washed successfully. Replacement soap was not purchased.
Day 4
The first dilution's soap concentration had reduced through use. The foam was less substantial but present. Water was added. The second dilution began.
Day 9
The second dilution's foam was visibly thinner than normal soap foam. The dispenser produced a pale, wispy foam that required two pumps to achieve previous single-pump coverage. Water was added. Third dilution.
Day 14
The third dilution produces a liquid that is technically soap water: it contains measurable amounts of soap distributed through three additions of water. The foam has become theoretical. Two pumps produce a slick liquid that disperses over the hands.
Hands are being cleaned. The cleaning mechanism is different from the original soap's mechanism. It is within the acceptable range for personal hygiene.
Why Replacement Has Not Occurred
Replacement requires: recognizing the need while outside the home, purchasing soap, and returning with it. The recognition while outside has not coincided with proximity to a shop that sells the correct soap in the same period.
The dispenser continues to function. The function is degraded. The degraded function has been acceptable enough that replacement urgency has not reached the shop-visit threshold.
Current Status
The soap is effectively water with a legacy soap history. New soap will be purchased this week when the shop is proximate and the need is present simultaneously.
