Terms Governing Commute Headphone Untangle
The binding conditions under which headphone untangling occurs mid-journey and the precedent such timing creates.
ARTICLE I , DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this agreement, "Commute Headphone Untangle" refers to the act of locating, separating, or otherwise preparing audio equipment at any point after the journey has already begun. "The User" refers to the individual party to this agreement. "The Journey" refers to the period between departure and arrival.
ARTICLE II , CONDITIONS OF OCCURRENCE
The User initiates audio preparation at home. The route is familiar. The timing is not. Section 2.1 of standard commute behavior holds that audio should be operational before boarding. Section 2.1 is aspirational.
The headphones are in the bag. The bag is closed. The bus is moving. The untangle begins.
ARTICLE III , BINDING ADJUSTMENTS
Someone makes one minor adjustment for Commute Headphone Untangle. The adjustment becomes part of the expected sequence and adds time to every repeat. The addition is not announced. The addition is not ratified. It is simply present in the next iteration.
The route is familiar enough to run automatically, yet the User still maintains private checks around it. These checks are not described in any documentation accessible to outside parties.
ARTICLE IV , ESCALATION CLAUSE
Under the governing rule, correcting Commute Headphone Untangle requires more authority than repeating it. No party has the required authority. No party has asked for it. The behavior continues under existing terms.
Eventually removing the adjustment requires a discussion longer than the behavior ever saved. The discussion does not occur. The behavior continues.
ARTICLE V , DURATION
This agreement remains in force until:
a) The User prepares audio before departure on two consecutive occasions, thereby breaking the precedent, or
b) Wireless earbuds eliminate the technical precondition, which has not resolved the behavioral one.
Neither condition has been met. The terms remain active.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
The User acknowledges these terms by boarding the vehicle. Signature not required. Presence constitutes acceptance.
