Terms Governing Posting Time Superstition
The binding terms under which a completed post may be withheld pending optimal audience conditions.
TERMS GOVERNING POSTING TIME SUPERSTITION Effective upon first delay of a finished post for scheduling reasons
ARTICLE I: DEFINITIONS
1.1 "The Post" refers to any completed piece of written or visual content prepared for public or semi-public digital distribution, the content of which is finalized and whose only remaining production step is the act of posting.
1.2 "Posting Time Superstition" refers to the practice of withholding The Post from its intended platform pending the arrival of a time believed to correlate with favorable audience reception, engagement, or algorithmic treatment, regardless of whether evidence for this correlation exists or has been examined.
1.3 "Optimal Window" refers to a time period, typically identified via advice from a platform analytics feature, an article, or the intuition of a person who posts frequently, during which it is believed that more people will see The Post.
ARTICLE II: APPLICABILITY
2.1 These terms apply to any user who has, on at least one occasion, delayed posting content that was ready for posting due to concerns about timing.
2.2 These terms become mandatory after the second delay. The first delay is treated as a personal preference. A second person who begins adapting their own posting behavior in light of the first person's timing practice elevates the preference to shared procedure. No notification is required for this elevation.
2.3 The platform offers a simple action: post. Audience awareness converts this action into reputation management. These terms govern the space between the simple action and the managed one.
ARTICLE III: OBLIGATIONS OF THE USER
3.1 The User agrees that Posting Time Superstition remains mandatory while nobody volunteers to replace the habit.
3.2 The User acknowledges that the Optimal Window will be revised as platform algorithms change, that new optimal windows will be identified, that those windows will eventually be superstition too, and that this cycle is indefinite.
3.3 The User agrees that a newcomer to any platform or social context governed by these terms may violate Posting Time Superstition without ever having been told the rule exists. The violation will be visible. The rule remains unstated.
ARTICLE IV: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
4.1 The Post may be seen by fewer people regardless of timing. The Post may also be seen by more people regardless of timing. These outcomes do not constitute grounds for amendment to these terms.
4.2 The Post has been ready.
