Correspondence Regarding Low Battery Mode Ritual
Battery is at twelve percent. Low power mode has been enabled with great ceremony. Three apps that consume significant battery are still open.

Low Power Mode was enabled at 3:47pm, when the battery reached 20%. This was appropriate. Low Power Mode reduces background activity, lowers screen brightness, and disables several processes that consume power without immediate visible benefit.
The battery is now at 12%.
I want to address a small inconsistency.

I hear your concern. I enabled Low Power Mode. I am taking this seriously.
I understand that some of my subsequent actions may have been in tension with the goals of Low Power Mode. These included: opening the video platform for eleven minutes, refreshing the feed three times in case something new appeared, keeping the navigation app active during a walk that I already know the route for, and taking four photos of something that wasn't that interesting.
I want to assure you that Low Power Mode was active during all of these activities. The mode was on. I was aware the mode was on.

The battery is now at 9%.
Low Power Mode is not a ritual. It is a set of technical restrictions that reduce consumption when enabled and cannot compensate for additional consumption added by the user simultaneously.
The charger is at home. The current location is seventeen minutes from home. At current consumption rates, the battery will reach 3% before arrival.
Low Power Mode will remain active. Its effect will be limited by the context in which it is operating.
