Terms Governing Wedding Invitation Logistics

TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING THE POST-INVITATION PERIOD TRIGGER: Receipt of a wedding invitation for a non-local event

Article 1: Scope

These terms activate upon receipt of an invitation to a wedding or related event that is: located more than two hours from the recipient's home, scheduled more than two months from the invitation date, and involving multiple sub-events with separate RSVPs.

Article 2: The Initial Assessment

Upon receipt, the recipient will perform an initial assessment. The assessment covers:

(a) Whether the date conflicts with existing commitments. (b) Travel requirements and estimated cost. (c) The relationship tier of the couple and what level of attendance is expected. (d) Whether both people in the household are invited or one. (e) Hotel availability and pricing for the specific weekend.

The initial assessment will take longer than anticipated and reveal at least one conflict that was not known at the time of invitation.

Article 3: The RSVP Decision

The RSVP must be submitted by the deadline. The deadline is two weeks after the invitation date. The decision will not be made until day eleven, when the deadline becomes urgent.

Article 4: The Travel Planning

If RSVP is confirmed, travel and accommodation planning begins. This planning will:

• Involve a hotel that is not the recommended hotel, which is fully booked.
• Require return travel that creates a time constraint on the Sunday's other activities.
• Produce at least one message in a group chat about coordinating arrival times with other guests.

Article 5: The Gift

A gift will be required. The registry will be consulted. Something within an acceptable price range will be selected. The selection will take longer than the RSVP decision.
